Laura Vonhögen – Peeters

About

Laura M. Vonhögen-Peeters, MSc, is a physical geographer with experience in both applied geology and geomorphology. She started working at the Geological Survey of The Netherlands (TNO-GSN) as junior geologist, but transferred to Deltares after a couple of years. At Deltares she is involved in mapping the subsurface and its characteristics for multiple purposes, including resources (e.g. sediments, subsidence and groundwater) and geo-engineering. In the Netherlands she has been involved in research for the support of the national coastal maintenance policy as well as extensive geo-archeological mapping of the North Sea, as programme manager and advisor. Internationally, she has been working on integrated groundwater studies in Singapore.
Her interest focusses on projects that bridge the gaps between topics by correlating them in time and space using (geophysical) measurements, monitoring and modelling if necessary.
She is member of the Sedimentological Society, the Royal Geological and Mining Society of the Netherlands (KNGMG) and the Netherlands Centre for Coastal Research (NCK).
